We’ve helped a wide variety of clients, from authors to energy bar brands, find their own voice by developing custom Alexa skills for the growing voice web audience. Yesterday Voicebot covered the release of XAPPmedia’s new Alexa Skill for The Investors podcast, We Study Billionaires. The article interviews XAPPmedia CTO John Kelvie and co-host of The Investors podcast, Preston Pysh about the development process what they learned along the way. It also contains a video demonstrating our new Amazon Alexa feature for podcasters that enables listeners to browse titles by hearing a short description for each episode.

Podcasting is an audio media. Amazon Alexa and its Echo devices use voice for interaction, but are designed to consume audio media. By our count, there are fewer than 10 podcasters on Alexa as of September 2016 and half of those are either AOL or NPR affiliated properties.
