Digiday Article ‘Voice Picks Up Steam’ Features XAPPmedia CEO Pat Higbie

In a recent Digiday article, Max Willens discusses how voice will have a bigger impact on media in the next few years than other emerging technologies like artificial intelligence and virtual reality. Why? Because “voice works.” The technology, hardware, advertising capabilities and platforms are already available, making voice a lucrative new channel for media companies. The article also quotes XAPPmedia CEO Pat Higbie, on the opportunities that voice technology will provide for radio broadcasters:

“What radio’s always been missing is a direct back channel. What we have here is the intimacy of radio as well as the instantaneous feedback from users.”
