SOLUTION

An Interactive Voice-First Quiz to Ensure the Perfect Fit

The team quickly determined that a Voice Landing Page (VLP) with an interactive experience would fit well with the company’s current promotion efforts and product information found on the website. A VLP that combined an engaging voice experience and a conversion opportunity for both Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa was the result. The user experience included a short, fun, interactive quiz that concluded with a recommended product match based on the answers. Users can also receive a text message with a link to the recommended knife for ease of purchase.

An On-Brand Interactive Experience Increases Consumer Engagement

1 / PERSONALIZED PRODUCT SUGGESTION

At the end of the quiz, the skill prompts the user to provide their telephone number to receive a text with the link to the suggested product. A text is more likely to be opened by the consumer than email and also reduces the friction for the consumer in searching for the product on the company’s website.

2 / AN ON-BRAND SOUND EXPERIENCE

To appeal to its target market, XAPP and Case Knives decided to use a custom voice persona instead of Alexa’s voice for the skill. The masculine, weathered voice sounds like it belongs to a knife expert and fits the brand’s persona. The skill also utilizes sound effects, like the sound of a circular saw to test the user’s knowledge.
